Equipment

  • Skillet or grill pan
  • Spatula
  • Knife and cutting board (if adding toppings)

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 slider buns
  • 8 slices cheddar or American cheese
  • Ketchup or other condiments of choice
  • butter optional

Instructions

  • Divide the ground beef into 8 equal portions and shape into small patties. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  • Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 3–4 minutes per side, or until fully cooked.
  • During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty and cover the pan briefly to melt the cheese.
  • (Optional) Lightly butter and toast the buns in a clean skillet or oven until golden.
  • Assemble the sliders by placing patties on buns and topping with ketchup or other condiments.
  • Serve warm with your favorite side.

Notes

Storage: Keep any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Reheating: Warm sliders in a covered skillet or microwave until heated through.
Top Tips: Use a light touch when shaping patties to keep them tender. Add cheese just before patties finish cooking for the perfect melt. Toasting buns makes them taste even better and keeps them from getting soggy.
